I am rather confused after going back to read Diane's instructions. I know how to start a new thread, but I am confused about linking them. Diane says put in AMPS & PMPS, which I have never done posting on a new thread, only on SS. Maybe you know something else that would help.

I will start a new thread tomorrow. I think the AMPS & PMPS is what confused me, is that what I new to do.

You do NOT need to put any numbers in the title of the new thread — not AMPS or PMPS or any other number. I would just title it something like: Kit Kat 12/30/24. Or even Kit Kat continued. Or Kit Kat’s continuing ProZinc journey. Whatever. Just put his name in there to help me. Then just write something… anything about Kit Kat in the text box and we can go from there. we aren’t picky here on the ProZinc forum about thread titles. On other forums they have a standardized format, but we don’t here. Although the cat’s name is very helpful. Do not stress about doing something “wrong.” It’s not worth it.

Teresa. What happened. You were going to start a new thread. There is no new thread on this forum (the ProZinc forum.). I see you have been having some trouble with Kit Kat though.

It’s also really important for you to list all medications that Kit Kat is taking in your signature. I see now that he takes Lactulose and Cisapride (although I believe you stopped the Cisapride.). What other meds does he take? They all need to go in the signature.

I also see that you are concerned about measuring the correct dose of insulin. You seriously need to get the syringes with the half unit markings to measure Kit Kat’s doses more accurately.

I have syringes with 1/2 markings, still not sure when I use .25 or .75 if i have it right. I have been to the doctor several times and I have been having problems with Kit Kat. He had been spitting up, that is why I missed the 1 dose. Yesterday, I went to his vet and got some medicine for him spitting up. His vet is a ways away in a different town. I have 2 rooms of carpet in my house, 1 in my bedroom, Last night, he had a loose bowel movement on my bedroom carpet, which is a job to get cleaned up. I looked up the meds on line and they cause diarrhea in some cats. This morning I called and asked for a different medicine for kit kat, which I had to go pick up. I have been feeding a stray cat since last summer, hoping to get him in 1 of the local no kill shelters. I went outside to feed him and his wet food from last night was frozen in his bowl, so I was trying to clean it out. i guess he got tired of waiting and scratched and bite me on my calf in the back, I was bleeding pretty good. Anyways, I am getting ready to go to the Urgent Care. Talk, to you later.
