Petey set off the <100 Libre alarm at +11. AT3 tested 160. Gave tbsp of his wet food, will test at +12. Link with graph for the morning in SS
Hi Laurie, did you change anything recently?
like food / diet?
Looks like an increase a few days ago?
Looks like this is a better dose for him.No changes. Just an increase.
196 is a safe number. But you’ve never shot that low, correct?
Looks like this is a better dose for him.
Do you have high carb food, karo, honey and plenty of test strips if needed ?
Can you be home yo monitor closely?
How long have you stalled? Can you be off schedule if you shoot a bit late?Yes I can.
Keep us posted.I gave him the dose, just hope his food HI holds true today.

Are you giving any snacks as the insulin onsets? That can help prevent diving.
You could give a small snack at +2 or +3 (especially if he is going lower). And once you really learn his patterns, it’s a bit easier to figure out when to give a snack. All you need is maybe one or 2 teaspoons, not a lot, and that would be that much less you would give at a larger meal time.I typically do a +5 or 6 and mid afternoon to hold him over till dinner or when I need to bribe him for blood. Are there suggested snack times?
Good job with the snacks. Hope that helped. it looks like he bounced from seeing those low numbers early this morning. Don’t forget to fill in your pre-shot number on your spreadsheet as well as the amount of units you gave.Gave him a snack (1-2 teaspoons of this wet food with xtra water) just before his +3 which is when he seems to start coming down rapidly. So far he has been holding steady in the low to mid twos on the libre. Looking at the libre graphs the last few days, it's like his body keeps testing out some new lows, spikes, then tries to relax again. Hopeful. He is also such a good example why patience is soooo important in spite of the difficulty. Thanks for being there to guide and support us.![]()
