Sending tons of vines and prayers for you and Saoirse tomorrow. I know it is scary but you are doing so good. Hang in there.

I couldn't agree more. It's one of the things I like about the ER vet we use - we have a choice of 2, but we always pick the one where the staff are warmer with both owners and pets even though they're 5 minutes further away. They may not realize it, but it really does make a difference to how comfortable we are leaving any of the cats there when necessary. If you have time for another hour or two to sleep before you have to leave to be near Saoirse today, maybe you can just nap for a little while as I know it's still very early there. I may not be on too late tonight - there's a virus doing the rounds in our house so we've been trying to stay warm and watch movies and relax, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you for the coming day.Given that she needs to be in hospital I feel better about her being in one with 'a good heart' and not one of 'steely intellect'.
Thank you so much, Nancy. It means so much to me not to be alone with this.If you can try to drink something, sometimes when you are so worried chewing and swallowing is just too much. It is so hard to have to leave them at the hospital, I will be worrying with you.
That's a good idea, Jeanne. You're right in your suspicions about the state of my tummy. Worry and fear always go to my gut. The weight has been falling off me for the last few days and I think I now have a chest cold. We don't have Instant Breakfast but I am going to try to get some banana-flavoured milk. It's fortified with vitamins and it should be easier to get that down. Might try getting some fresh custard and bananas as well.Nancy is right. Do you have something Across The Pond that equates with our "Instant Breakfast"? It's basically a milkshake with vitamins. That stuff is good to keep on hand, (It comes in powdered form over here, little envelopes), and it beats choking on food when you're stressed.![]()
Thank you so much, Diana. All paws firmly crossed...
We're all here praying with you, Mogs. (((HUGS)))Yesterday evening I was promised a call at 10-ish this morning. I'm nervous. I'm praying.
Thank you! I keep visualising that.Bless you Mogs. Sending vines for an excellent outcome tomorrow and Saoirse to be back in your loving arms soon.
If I had known where to find them she would have had them on Friday.you and Saoirse have got all the right people working for her.
Thank you from both of us! (((Mary Ann)))

Saoirse is through the operation. She is round from the anaesthetic and the vets are very pleased with how she is doing.
We are over the first hurdle.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and healing thoughts. Please keep 'em coming!
