My Missy has refused to eat anything at all today. She ate a decent amount of dinner last night with her last dose of insulin shot. This morning she ate only a few bites of breakfast with her morning dose. This is very unusual for her, because she always seems to have an appetite. I've even tried to give her one of her favorite treats and she only sniffs and walks away, same with food. She is drinking a fair amount of water but noticed she isn't using the litter box as normal either.
I spoke to her Vet this afternoon about the situation and they told me to skip dinner dose of insulin if she didn't eat, and to call back tomorrow if still no appetite. Its very late and I've tried everything I can think of to try and get some food in her, but no luck and I'm very very concerned.
I unfortunately don't have the funds at the time to make a trip to the emergency vet and as mentioned previous in other post she isn't scheduled to get another Libre until Tuesday and I don't have any at home monitoring tools until then as well.
I feel terrible! I just want to be able to help my baby girl and I feel like I'm failing her! I just want to be able to give her the best care and treatment. She's only been diagnosed for about a month now and I am fairly new to this. Is there anything I could try to do or give her to help get her to eat some?
