I just don't know how this will affect overall numbers in the coming days. If it's green at 8 am..for the AMPS today, do we shoot the 1u?? Or can we give him 12 hours or so to reset and take the 1u from there?
Someone has probably already told you this, but better safe than sorry. Before you increase his dosage above 1u, be sure to get him entirely off dry food (no access to it at all) long enough to see how he will respond. The switch to wet food is often enough to control diabetes all by itself! You don't want to increase the insulin dose until you know exactly how much difference the 100%-wet diet will make.Janice & Johnny (starfishj) said:He has access to hp/lc dry food, but is now eating 80-90% wet food.
