. I guess the vast majority of pet owners in the UK feed supermarket-available pet foods ... ...sadly, that's as far as it gets. 'Trying' Saff on other foods seems a bit of a mountain to climb. My worry is there seems to be almost too much choice. I'd like to keep Saff on bird/poultry foods
Nature's menu chicken & turkey is a good option. For supermarket varieties, try Sheba Fine Flakes in Jelly Poultry Selection - 1.6% calories from carbs, but it's a bit high in sodium and phosphorus (1.93% and 1.1% respectively on a dry matter basis). It's a fairly bland food - it's helping with Saoirse's pancreatitis issues but it's not good for the long term for her kidneys.
