Saw a red yesterday after Libre replacement. Seems like he's getting more nervous about those than he used to. Poor baby just shakes the whole time. I think even despite using very gentle (but effective) adhesive remover spray that gets used for babies in the NICU, having the old one removed pulls the little bit of fur that's grown in and hurts. We're incredibly gentle and go very slow, but still. Poor dude. Anyway, BG is always extremely high after those lately.
I'm planning to shoot tonight (as an update for those who contributed to my question yesterday), I'm sure it'll be fine. I am planning to skip tomorrow morning, but only because transport to and from the vet interferes with injection time and 1) another thing I managed to forget in the midst of all the chaos is walking it back, but more importantly 2) he hates getting put in the carrier so much that if I have to do it within a two hour window of his shot he won't let me near him for them for a month.
Half a unit isn't worth all that IMO. Back to normal for PM cycle. Probably going to have to do the same thing two days later for his other appointment.
I've read through all the stickies/links, but if anyone has any other things I should know/keep in mind for tomorrow morning, please feel free to share!
