Morning Lantus Land - this is a catch-up post. In about 40 minutes I need to leave the hotel & take Lanky to the CSU hospital for his 3rd SRT treatment. All is well, in fact very well. I need to figure out how (or if I even can) post many slides from our trip so far, PM me if you have pointers. I already posted many pics on FaceBook as it is only a 1-click operation from my Mac Laptop.

Lanky is getting 1/2 his regular Lantus does in the AM & full dose (12u) in the PM. We are to expect his BG to be all over the board this week so I am not worrying too much about it. I asked Dr. Lunn if we will see BG responses to treatment this soon & she said no. Nevertheless, Lanky's condition seems markedly improved in many ways: minimal sneezing, more comfortable breathing, perkier, regular poo/p; water consumption down, no meatloaf positions, happier. We also had his heart checked out, his eyes, and now his ears. Heart is OK, eyes are dry & need Refresh Liquigel (1drop ea eye 3Xday). He has fluid in his ears & may have yeast/bacteria that we will know more about today. He is catching on to the morning routine though and is a bit on guard, plus annoyed that he must fast. He makes up for the fasting by having a big, long dinner and afternoon snacks.

The attached photo is the medical staff: Dr. Lunn, Student Flower, Resident Jessica, & Dr. LaRou.

Hope you all are well & all the kitties too.

Re: 8/5 Lanky AMPS 293 CUS Update

SO glad to read your update Susan! Sorry Lanky is having a hard time with the fasting...they DO love their fuds, don't they?
It's wonderful that he is feeling better. So happy to read this! That looks like a very happy crew there! Hope your day goes well...give Lanky some kissed from us.... and hugs too! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hi Susan, We've been looking for your updates and are so happy to hear that all is going well for Lanky. What a great looking group of doctors! Just looking at them inspires confidence! If you upload your photos to Picassa (the same account as your Google spreadsheet; check the Google page for all of the things you can do with your Google account), you can create albums and post links to them in your condo.
Give your boy some scritches for us. We think of you all the time.

Hey there! About time you posted an update!

It took Boo a while to start down the dosing path, but once she did, it went quickly. Each kitty seems to respond differently. I think Dr. Lunn had one that was OTJ in 2 weeks; it took Boo 12 weeks.

Great to hear from you that things are going well.

For Lanky... here's hoping the morning goes by quickly and the afternoon FEEDING time comes very soon for you.

oh, it's so great to be reading of another kitty going thru this. we've seen some great results. just wanted you to know someone else is pulling for you and lanky! :)

I'm so glad Lanky is feeling better, nothing worse than feeling poorly when you're away from home.

Heather, I can't believe Boo took 12 weeks, it sure seemed quicker than that.

Happy to hear everything is going so good for Lanky at CSU.

Check out Milo's SS, his dosing requirements went up after the treatment, but like Heather said they all seem to respond different.

Say hi to everyone from Milo & I, and good luck with day 4.

Hugs,
Wendi & Milo

Boo did as well. It was pretty depressing at first, so don't worry if Lanky goes up before going down.
