I did as much of a curve as I could today in between my jobs. It's day 7 of him being on 10 units so I need to know if I should up his dose, lower it, or stay at 10. I was going to start his cabergoline tomorrow for his acromegaly but I'm unsure if I should now since his numbers are finally getting lower. He was having some neurological issues which I believed to be side effects from the second solensia shot, but one of my vets believe it's due to his acromegaly. And i wonder if the cabergoline will help with that at all.

It's been a week on 10U and his numbers look good for an increase, but I will tag @Wendy&Neko for advice since you are starting cabergoline from tomorrow.

Have his neurological issues resolved?

Cabergoline doesn't make a difference right away. I've seen it take anywhere from 7-10 days to several months, to start making a difference on dose. So I wouldn't consider it a factor. Hard to say if cabergoline will help his neurological issues. We very seldom see neurological issues due to acromegaly here. It's typically a later stage issue and he hasn't been even diabetic that long.

He's good for an increase. With SLGS, you wan the nadirs (plural) in the 90 -149 range. They aren't there yet.

Oh no! And you think that's because of the Solensia? Did the vet check his blood pressure? Hypertension can also lead to neurological issues and blindness:

@Bandit's Mom Malcolm's not the first acro kitty we've seen with neurological issues soon after getting a Solensia shot. But you also make a good point about blood pressure. High BP is a possible thing to get tested.

I had his bp tested 4 days after getting the solensia shot because I was worried that may be the issue and it came back in normal range. Two weeks ago he was acting like he was the few days after the shot so I went back and had them test his bp again, and it was in normal range again. The vet suspected the tumor is what is causing his blindness. But it's strange to me that it stared not long after the solensia shot.
i got his second shot on May 20th and he's had issues ever since.

How much should I increase his dose? .25 or .50?

Dose increases over 10U are in multiples of 1U, so you would go up to 11U. Tagging @Wendy&Neko for confirmation.

I agree with Bhooma. If you had a dose that had nadirs closer to where you want, you might do a smaller increase. But not yet.

ok. Thanks. I just did .50 this morning because I wasn't sure. I also sent my curve to my vet and am waiting to hear back from them.

Solensia is causing a ton of issues I stopped giving it to my cat because all the stuff I’ve heard and read are horrific.
