punkin 5/10 last condo
good morning lantus land!
all is well in punkin's world. he's had a bunch of high numbers, and i finally had a light bulb moment day before yesterday when i was using R to pull him down. my husband gives most of the shots, so i hadn't noticed, but when i went to give the R, i saw that this particular box of syringes had some markings off by as much as a half unit! ohmygod_smile i was trying to pull up .25u of R and the plunger when pushed in tightly stopped at .5u. ARGH. wish they would get more accurate! but i think that's why he's been so high - he's getting .5u less than he was before when he was seeing greens every day.
so we've gone back up in dose and he spent the night before last all surfing greens. didn't bounce too badly from it yesterday either.
we took anya and punkin to the coast last weekend. tried to take them walking on the beach - HAHAHAHAHAHA - anya was only interested in getting back into the Safe House. Punkin was ok on the grassy edge, but none of the sand/ocean crap for him! i got a video but haven't uploaded it.
i've got 2 of our kids home for the next month, and our youngest daughter surprised us on mother's day with the announcement that she's engaged. - to a young man that she's known since the end of march and has been going out with for 2 weeks at that point. you can imagine how thrilled i might be to have her anxious to marry someone she just met . . . but she seems to have slowed down and hopefully we'll have a nice long engagement. she has 2 more years of college. he's a nice young man, although no job and not in school . . . we'll see if he does some growing up quickly. our son (23) leaves next week for a summer job working in the forest somewhere in Oregon. lots going on at our house.
my computer is having issues, so i've had to resort to using DH's - which means i don't have one in the evening now. such is life.
hope you're all doing well! i've been thinking lots about all the LL kitties. :YMHUG:
