punkin 5/10 last condo

good morning lantus land!

all is well in punkin's world. he's had a bunch of high numbers, and i finally had a light bulb moment day before yesterday when i was using R to pull him down. my husband gives most of the shots, so i hadn't noticed, but when i went to give the R, i saw that this particular box of syringes had some markings off by as much as a half unit! ohmygod_smile i was trying to pull up .25u of R and the plunger when pushed in tightly stopped at .5u. ARGH. wish they would get more accurate! but i think that's why he's been so high - he's getting .5u less than he was before when he was seeing greens every day.

so we've gone back up in dose and he spent the night before last all surfing greens. didn't bounce too badly from it yesterday either.

we took anya and punkin to the coast last weekend. tried to take them walking on the beach - HAHAHAHAHAHA - anya was only interested in getting back into the Safe House. Punkin was ok on the grassy edge, but none of the sand/ocean crap for him! i got a video but haven't uploaded it.

i've got 2 of our kids home for the next month, and our youngest daughter surprised us on mother's day with the announcement that she's engaged. - to a young man that she's known since the end of march and has been going out with for 2 weeks at that point. you can imagine how thrilled i might be to have her anxious to marry someone she just met . . . but she seems to have slowed down and hopefully we'll have a nice long engagement. she has 2 more years of college. he's a nice young man, although no job and not in school . . . we'll see if he does some growing up quickly. our son (23) leaves next week for a summer job working in the forest somewhere in Oregon. lots going on at our house.

my computer is having issues, so i've had to resort to using DH's - which means i don't have one in the evening now. such is life.

hope you're all doing well! i've been thinking lots about all the LL kitties. :YMHUG:

Hi punkin and Julie! Good to see a punkin condo. Sorry about the higher numbers. Good start today. :-D Those darn syringes. We ordered a pair of calipers (but only received an empty envelope, hope the calipers show up soon) to try to even out doses. I am assuming punkin is maintaining CPC status? Zener does too on occasion, but his standard deviation is quite large. Thanks for encouraging punkin to give him a pep talk.

Hi Julie! Nice to see you & Punkin! Missed you a lot! Kitties beach walking? You are the best bean!

Hi guys .. boy it feels like forever since I've been in punkin's condo! It certainly does sound like a lot is going on in your house right now .. I hope that getting punkin back on the right dose brings out some nice numbers for you .. Have a great holiday weekend!

Hi Julie, so good to hear about Punkin adventures. I'm glad he's getting into greens again, though sorry to hear about the bad batch of syringes. Something we all should look for when we start a new box.

I can understand Punkin not wanting to get sand all over his nice pretty fur. That must have been a sight to see, look forward to seeing a video.

Good luck on the computer thing and the busy times at home.

Julie :YMHUG: So good to see you on the board today:)
Sounds like you have many exciting things going on in your life right now. I'm happy you had the opprotunity to go on a trip to the coast with the kitties last weekend. It must have been nice to be surrounded by the ocean breeze:) And as for the engagement....well that sounds a bit more exciting for your daughter at the moment but in time as you get to know the reasons why she loves him it will get exciting for you too:)

Too bad about the wonky batch of syringes but atleast you figured out the problem and can keep truckin' along now. Good luck with the dosecrease Punkin Pants!!

Thinking of you :-D

Tamara

Oh man, your kitties were on the beach? I bet they were scared with the ocean and the waves coming in and reaching out for them and all.
