Hi LL-
Boomer's BG looked okay today. I've only given him lantus one day on May 10th when he was 182 and then after the PM shot he went to 57. I think I will actually take the vet's advice on this and not shoot unless he's over 200.
So right now he's staying at a guest house next to the Falls and visiting during the day. He goes back to this house at night to work the night shift (he's got a part time job to help pay for his medical bills) until we're sure that he can go back to the Falls full time.
This morning he was a crazed maniac-which is good. Pawing at the blinds to get me up to eat. Annoying, but thats what I want! He ate extremely well. He got his first leuk last night and I'm hoping he stays happy and healthy. I hope it's not too big a dose for him.
Got another call from IM vet telling me he's got exocrine pancreatic insuffiency and that I need to add enzymes to his food to help him digest food. Does anyone else have a cat that needs enzymes added to their food? The two she mentioned were viokase and pancreazyme. She says giving him this will help him gain weight.
I think I'm going to start writing an encyclopedia on Boomer's issues! Holy sh*t!!!!
