Hope all those getting hit with the weather this weekend have been staying warm!
TL/DR: changing Binx diet (for CKD) but not sure if it's mean to only feed him chicken flavour and nothing else.
After some reading up on CKD, I've decided it's time for a diet change for Binx. Phosphorus levels are most important and I was shocked to learn that Binx's current FF pates are almost double the recommended for a CKD cat. Not surprisingly, all appropriate options are 3-4x our current price
And also, the options that satisfy FD and CKD are limited. I've found two options but they both have one catch! There's a Tiki variety pack that checks all the boxes BUT protein levels are higher than recommended. Or there's a stellar phosphorus specific Weruva pate but I can only get it in chicken flavour. I feel kind of bad giving him only one flavour forever and ever... what does everyone else think?
Wishing everyone a calm and steady Sunday
