Indy is staying pretty smooth. Went a little higher last night (he tends to at night for some reason) but stayed around 160, so I will still consider it a win.
Indy is doing great but my anxiety has me in its death grip. It feels like it is just looking for things to be wrong. Spinning worse case scenarios in my head and going total doomsday. My brain has me.convinced there is something desperately wrong with Indy because of his every once in awhile cough combined with the gallop heartbeat. It has me deep diving on the Internet about heart failure and heart disease....even lung cancer. I emailed the vet last night asking if we should do the chest x-ray or anything. I'm waiting to hear back.
Let's be honest though, he is almost 18 years old. Would it really be all that surprising if he has heart disease? Nope. He is acting well for an old man. He was running down the hallway this morning, begging for his morning beef liver treat as I was leaving for work and jumping up on the table/couch/desk looking for attention. He has put the weight back on that he lost from the diabetes diagnosis. I should be so happy with how well he is doing and stop looking for trouble. But my anxiety won't let me go. Sorry for the rant, I had to put it somewhere and I figured this group would at least understand where I am coming from.
Hope everyone has a nice day today with smooth surfing for kitties.
