12/28 - Gen, AMPS 365, PMPS >400

Yesterday

We had an exciting (early) morning! Gen hit the upper 50s around PMPS +9.25 (which was about 5am), getting me out of bed. I discovered that he'd had a hairball on the carpet, and after I fed him a little LC + freeze-dried tuna treats, he had a big, messy, soft poop and tracked some of that around too. (There was some on the wall. Buddy.) Managed to get it all cleaned up before my parents saw.

Kind of wish we were leaving today as originally planned, but we need to make it until midday on Tuesday!

Anyway, since he spent about an hour below 70 on the Libre last night, I judged him to have earned a reduction. I feel a little strange about it though, since he SHOT back up high at the very end of his cycle, again. (He went from 140 to 343 over the course of an hour.) And he has had a lot more blue (and some green) on the 1.5u dose.

Still, I did shoot 1.25u at AMPS today. I would be thrilled with some input on that choice, how his cycles are looking in general, etc!

(To be clear: because the Libre isn't super reliable on lower numbers, I had previously decided that although we are following SLGS, 70 is the cutoff for reductions, rather than 90.)

I hope everyone has a peaceful, pleasant Sunday (and a cozy one, if you're sharing this chill!) - and safe surfs for all the kitties!

Giving excellent snuggles. ❤️

In absence of other data, I think you have to do what you have done and reduce under 70 on the Libre. The bonus of last night's action is that he might be bouncing during the car trip back home. Much preferred to knowing kitty is going low and not being able to pull over and test because all the exits are blocked and some jerk tossed a ciggy into the median causing a fire stopping traffic. If you haven't guessed, that is personal experience talking.

Oof, that sounds awful, I'm so sorry!

Unfortunately our car trip has been postponed to Tuesday, so it's hard to know what will be happening with him then. I am planning to go out this afternoon, so a bounce would not be the worst thing. I'm ... not sure that's what's happening, though. 😅

I have cycles like this a lot, Allie. Ivy bounces sky high after hanging out in lows like Gen did on this graph.

I’m happy he’s seeing some lower numbers and hopefully he will get used to being there without all that bouncing.

Sorry about the barf 🤮
Hope he feels better.
Enjoy your family visit 🥰

Oh, honestly I was mostly surprised that he seemed to be coming straight down again! (When he's bounced before, he's stayed up there awhile.) But we'll see what happens next. He's had a pretty flat, yellow cycle for the most part today.

Thanks, I hope you're having a good day yourself! ❤️

I'm picturing some kind of Fast and Furious scenario with Wendy and Neko jumping from the car to a helicopter while testing in midair.

@Seth&Bell Not quite - DH was driving at the time, it was our 3 day trip back from Colorado State University. I might have violated some traffic laws and hopped into the back seat of what was theoretically a moving car. She got some HC for her 67, didn't know when I could test again. IAA breaking during long travel days was most inconvenient.

Oof. I am grateful that my drive with Gen is only a couple of hours.
