That is exactly what I was hoping would happen. And you feel comfortable drawing the .10 dose?
Oh yes, I'm perfectly fine giving the .1 dose. I'm even okay giving the drop dose (or fat zero). We gave both of these to Red right before he went into remission a few years ago. That is exactly what I was hoping would happen. And you feel comfortable drawing the .10 dose?
Snacks meaning a mini meal— spoonful of low carb wet food.never had an automatic feeder for him. I can check them out. What type of snacks would you leave?
If you have an emergency and need assistance and are not getting an answer and feel you need one immediately— then you can make a post on feline health and see if anyone over there can help. The problem is that most of the people on health are not familiar with ProZinc and won’t advise on its dosing. There are a few moderators who might be able to help, but they are not always available either. Also, what should I do if I need a quick answer (for dosing) and you're not available? I don't know if I should wait for your reply or go to someone else?
Yes, sorry I was late posting his numbers. He was 79 PMPSEverything okay this evening?
I may have given Red a .1 skinny shot last night - if that's even possible. It seemed a hair shy of .1, but I had my husband check and he said it was good.Everything okay this evening?
I doubt he will go too high@Suzanne & Darcy
In all Red's diabetic days, this is a first for me! I had a late day at work today and missed his PM dose. I actually tested him, fed him on time, at the normal PM time. I even wrote down in his notebook the .1 dose. I then went back to work. I just realized 3 hours later, I never gave the insulin. I'm hoping because he's on a low dose, this won't affect him too much. We'll see how his levels are in the AM.
AMPS 82I doubt he will go too high![]()
Thank you Suzanne! Still packing, but almost done! Yes, Red is doing well, thank goodness. The sitter came by to learn to test So she will take those AM and PM. I told her if there are any issues or problems getting blood, don't worry about it.Hi. Are you ready for your trip? I bet you’re busy! I just wanted to check in, say hello, and peek at Red’s spreadsheet before you leave tomorrow. His numbers look good. I hope y’all will have a very enjoyable trip to celebrate that first birthday together.
Enjoy!Thank you Suzanne! Still packing, but almost done! Yes, Red is doing well, thank goodness. The sitter came by to learn to test So she will take those AM and PM. I told her if there are any issues or problems getting blood, don't worry about it.
See you back on Monday!
At AMPS +6, he tested at 74.Can you get a mid-cycle test today?
Okay, that will still be another 3 hours from now. Should I check with you then?Let’s see where he is tonight at normal PMPS time.
I'm also on Eastern time. I'm going to test him about 9 - 9:15pm, which was his usual testing/dose time. What time?
I am on Eastern.
He was 98, so I gave him .1 dose. I'll test between +2 and +3.If he is in a lower green then skip and try to het a test before bed by maybe +3?
He was 75 at PMPS +3. Do i still follow the same for AM - if he's in lower green, skip the dose? Or do I continue with .1 until he's under 60 nadir? If he is in a lower green then skip and try to het a test before bed by maybe +3?
Yes. Good decision. I am glad you did. I would like his pancreas to continue to be supported and hopefully he will earn the reduction to the drop dose.Well no worries for now. AMPS he was 119. I'll give the .1 dose.
