CAN SOMEONE TAKE A LOOK AT WATSON'S SPREADSHEET PLEASE?

#1 - Watson earned a reduction on 4/23 pm due to a string of low 50's and a 49. Since then, he has consistantly been in the mid 200's to high 300's with an occasional 400+. Should I be increasing him back the .25 or waiting longer for it to come down?

#2 - Before AMPS today his Libre kept giving me the "wait 10 minutes" about 5 times. I did finally get a reading, but in the meantime I tried to test on my meter. I could NOT get a drop of blood on either ear, even after 6 pokes. His meter runs out at 5pm today and I'm going to have to start testing until he get another sensor on Monday. How the heck to I get more blood? Each ear would ooze a little bit but not enough to get a reading. After 6 pokes he was not a happy kitty either :(

Hi Rosie have you read this
Always aim for the sweet spot warm the ears up first, you can put rice in a sock and put it in the microwave, test it on the inside of your wrist to be sure it's not to hot, like you would test a babies bottle. You can fill a pill bottle with warm water and roll it on the ears also.Just keep rubbing the ears with your fingers to warm them up

6. As the ears get used to bleeding and grow more capilares, it gets easier to get the amount of blood you need on the first try. If he won’t stand still, you can get the blood onto a clean finger nail and test from there.
When you do get some blood you can try milking the ear.
Get you finger and gently push up toward the blood , more will appear
You will put the cotton round behind his ear in case you poke your finger, after you are done testing you will fold the cotton round over his ear to stop the bleeding , press gently for about 10 or 20 seconds until it stops
Get 26 or 28 gauge lancets
A lot of us use the lancets to test freehand not the lancing device
I find it better to see where I'm aiming

PLEASE LOOK at the lancet under a light and you will see one side is curved upward, that's the side you want to poke with

I am not using the Lancing device, I am also doing it freehand. I will try looking at the lancet to see if I can find the curve, but my eyes are old so I hope I can see it.
I will try warming it up and see if that helps. He’s not gonna be happy about me touching his ears again though.

I used 25 gauge terumo needles because my vet preferred needles. It’s easier to get blood I think. You are correct that it’s time to increase.
Of course, the couple numbers I have taken today look better. His libra has malfunction quite a few times, but the last one I did manually was 190. I will have to test manually until Monday evening now because that is his next vet appointment to get a libra on again.

Woohoo I got some blood!!! I think I will only do one more test tonight before his next shot because I have put so many holes in his poor ears today. I had better luck getting the blood from the underside of his ear instead of the fur side.
