She already gets a +9 snack in the AM cycle, just not the PM. We don't have an auto feeder. Someone mentioned this to me before re: trying to get her AMPS number down. I'd like to, but haven't figured out how to do it yet without getting up at 4am.

She's not microchipped and we have 10 cats. I was looking at feeders and the microchip ones are pricey (forgot to look on Black Friday, ugh) plus we'd have to have her chipped as well. Otherwise someone else would eat her food.

Can you say more about the reasons for recommending the +9 snack so I can understand it and might be more accepting of disrupting my sleep for it? Is it better than changing the dose, if so why?
 
Food bings down the bg of a working pancreas 3-4 hours after eating. For many cats that brings down the preshots to all under 100. I dint know how you did this so well with 10 cats. You are amazing.

I will think about what we could do about the 4am feeding, stagger our schedules, something?

We live in a rural area and people dump unwanted cats and the local shelters are overflowing, that's how we acquired so many cats.
