Hiiiiiiiii all!!!! :bighug::bighug:

Chnoudi's numbers were low last night (+3:35 and +4:38), so I reduced the dose to 1.75 today.

However, her PMPS is quite high in my opinion....:confused: It was several weeks ago that she had a similar bg. Her pre-shots are mainly in the range 90 -120 the last days.

I'm not sure if she will be able to hold the reduction. Anti-jinx, of course, but -in that case- I'd like to know...I'm just wondering.... How can this happen? She drops to 30s with the 2u, but the 1.75u is not enough? And what am I doing in this situation? I hold the 2u and wait.....for what??

These are just my thoughts.. Any reply or opinion would be appreciated!! :)

Thank youu in advance!!!!:):) lots of love to everyone :kiss::kiss::kiss:

No helpful answer here, but sympathize as my Leo does this between two doses--1.5 & 1.25. If only he was at 1.0, he would be closer to going lower, but nope. Feline diabetes is such a challenge--especially when on TR and hoping Leo is one of the kitties getting OTJ. Not even close. At least Chnoudi's has been there and will be again! GBY & your sweet kitty.

What is your feeding schedule at night? I’d start getting a +2 and if lower than the pmps feed a teaspoon of slightly higher carbs to keep her surfing. If not lower feed lc. You want to feed carbs to prevent s drop under 40. I know it’s frustrating. If that doesn’t work try fattening the dose instead of a full .25. :bighug:

Woww ok!!!
Well, I test and feed @+3, @+4 & @+6. Of course I can try to test and feed @+2 to prevent a drop, especially at nights when she usually drops lower!!!

So your opinion is to increase back to 2u ??? And trying to make her surfing??
I mean, you think that she can't hold the reduction?

Thanks for the reply !! :):):)

Ohhh I can really understand you!!! It's difficult and needs a lot of patience!!! But Leo is a newly diagnosed sugarbaby and from what I see he has made a great progress!!!:):):) Keep going and believe it...! TR is really tough , but it's the first time for Leo and everything is easier! It worths trying!
Chnoudi is a long term diabetic and ..uuuughhhh.. this 2nd time is veeery difficult for me :confused::confused::confused::(:(:(
Anyway,Let's be optimistic:bighug:

No and sorry I wasn’t clear. I would not increase just yet. Give her tons to see what she does. If she doesn’t hold the reduction then try one of the strategies I mentioned above. At night is when I would feed slightly higher carbs at +2 to prevent the drop under 40.

Hi Melita :bighug: cats insulin needs change in time so don’t think of the reduction as failed just yet, maybe this time Chnoudi is ready for 1.75 :cat:
Good luck with the reduction :bighug:
