5/2 Dimi - +12 72, PMPS 164 (+13.25), +1 272, +3 227

Toldja he'd give you another opportunity soon! Same as last time - golden opportunity. If you can monitor, shoot!
So I'm about 1/2 hour past typical shot time. Does that matter? And what would you recommend for monitoring. It's almost 9 pm here.

Test again to make sure flat or rising.

You can shoot at normal time in the morning, with Lantus you can move one shot back by 30 mins or each shot back by 15 mins to get back on schedule.

His onset is a little variable so I would start with +1/+1.5

I fed him because he was starving, so not sure a reading now would be accurate?

You shot a 76 the other day and he had a beautiful cycle. As long as you have plenty of supplies and can test as often and as long as needed tonight, I'd definitely shoot!

Lantus does best when given at these lower numbers. Check out China's spreadsheet if you don't believe me!...LOL

I've admired China's spreadsheet many times : )

I shot, I think. I was a little panicked and he was in a hard to reach position, so not 100% sure whether I pushed the plunger before or after I inserted the syringe.

Well if you pushed the plunger before you inserted the syringe, there should be a wet patch on his fur (and you'd smell it...it has a VERY distinctive smell)

No wet spot, but I inserted the syringe, he jumped and then I inserted again, but didn't really feel like I had to push much on the plunger, so wondered if maybe I shot the air in between the two tries. Don't recall a smell though, so hopefully it's just my panic getting the best of me.

Be sure to update your spreadsheet and your subject line. Whatever his BG was when you shot tonight is his PMPS number....that way the +1, +2, etc. still mean the same as they always do...the number of hours since the actual shot.

You can put other tests in either the +11 cell or stack them all in the PMPS cell.....like at his usual PMPS he was 72, you could put 72 @ +12 (either in the +11 cell or the PMPS cell) and then put 164 @ +13.25 in the PMPS cell.

Updated SS and subject line. +1 272. Did I give an air shot or is this a bounce?

Definitely a bounce, but if shot missed that will also let numbers go up

If you didn't smell anything it likely went in. But whenever you're not sure, put "fs?" In the dose column (so tonight would say "1.5 fs?"). It stands for fur shot, which is what we call a missed or partially missed shot.

I'd grab a +3 just to be sure, but I think you might get the night off.

So annoyed that I might have messed up his shot, just as you both helped me to feel bold enough to go for it. :arghh:

It happens! I did testing and shots in the laundry room, more times than I care to admit I went to flip laundry and there was a full syringe just sitting there on the washer

We've all done them...and anybody that tells you different is fibbing!

I think it's probably a bounce......he seems to enjoy time on the trampoline!
