Panzer earned a new dosage

Panzer dropped down pretty low last night after 4units of insulin. I had to feed him medium carbs to raise his # back up. He earned a new dosage 3.5units of insulin. I was scared to go anyway near the 4 this morning, so I gave him 3.5. He has been in the 300s pretty much all day. It looks to me like his low is between +5 & +7. He was to low at +7 last night. I gave him the correct dose that he earned after our scare last night tonight.He had Metacam at +9 after his amps shoot this morning. We are starting out tonight at 398. Hopefully it goes well tonight. Please watch for more on Panzer.
 
If Panzer's numbers drop below 90, you want to reduce the dose by 0.25u. I'm glad you brought it back to 3.75u for his PM shot.

I tend to think you're going to see better numbers the less you're needing to feed. your kitty the W/D.

Im glad I did to hopefully it goes we'll. He is completely off of the dry food now, he only eats fancy feast pate now. I need to update it. I think that's why his #s are dropping & his insulin has been reduced.

He is at 97 low even earlier than last night. Do I need to feed medium carbs again?

Yes, that is a big drop from +3. Feed the medium carb to prevent him from dropping lower. Just a teaspoon should do the trick and test again in an hour.

Tested at 55 gave fancy feast with gravy. Should I test again in 30mins or an hour?
 
Panzer had 15 teeth pulled , last Wed since then he's been dropping .
Could be that's why he needs less insulin?
On 10-22 PM he earned a reduction
to 3.75 for the next morning
She shot 3.5 that morning because she thought it would be easier to measure and didn't want to get anywhere close to the 4 unit mark.
On 10-23 PM she went with 3.75 and this morning 3.75 and he was down to 55 @+4
She did post a 911 but got no response so she private messaged me but I was not on ,just saw this

Definitely a possibility that the teeth caused the bg to go way up. I’m glad he’s come back up. Is he eating well? How long since the last test?

Sorry -- I was out of the house when you posted. I hope you fed some gravy. A 68 is when you want to intervene if you're still using an AlphaTrack. This time, Panzer gets a dose reduction!

Your fine, yes still using alphatrack. I fed Fancy Feast Gravy w chicken immediately I know 68 is take action time.I was sleeping & had an alarm set to test him at +4 after shot & that's when I caught it. I have been testing every 2hrs & sleep when I feel he's safe.I haven't had a whole lot of sleep since after the surgery on Wednesday, but he's worth it.I'm still waiting on someone to give me his dose reduction.
 
I guess you are going to give him 3.5 units and let's hope you don't see any neon greens. I had asked if you should go lower but no one has responded. If no one does go with 3.5 units tonight. I'll be checking on you and Panzer .
How's he feeling, are you still giving the pain meds

Ok, no I decided to only give them for 3 days due it being bad on his kidneys. He seems fine, sleepy but I understand that I'm so tired from testing & sure he is as well. Thank you hopefully he doesn't go in the green again, that is so scary.

Yes I read that members have said that about that pain med, You must be exhausted and he must be too. I know it's scary but you have done a great job !
Keeping my fingers crossed no funny business tonight and you both can get some sleep. I'll be around ok :cat:
