@Hshray Thank you for all this info and support!
I have tried the FF chicken hearts and liver and blue blissful belly and blue whitefish and potato all for mc foods, and have tried the beef gravy lovers for hc, but Sunny tends to throw up when he gets low (in the 40s and low 50s). He used to eat anything I'd put in front of him, but now he will walk away from all of these even if he's ravenous. I think they make him remember his nausea or something.... He will eat his lc food though even when he's low.
It makes me really nervous that I might not be able to rescue him sometime. The last couple of times I had to use some karo and hc dry food, and he obviously felt awful through the process (until he finally held some food down).
Last night though I gave him a tiny amount of royal canin sensitive stomach food in Gravy, along with his lc food and he ate it. It's hc. He wasn't very low though at the time. But at least I know he has some interest in that one. So I have it on hand for next time.
I was more confident in being able to manage a hypo before his last time in the 40s which was difficult to manage bc of all his vomiting. That shook me up.
I notice you give mc when George gets down into the 50s. I think I'll just gave to start doing that too. I was always relying on lc until we reached the 40s. By then he's too nauseous (and full of lc) I guess.
Thanks for all these pearls! I need to sit down with the data and see if I can identify patterns that are going to make me more comfortable in predicting what he's gonna do ahead of time.
I've also thought of switching his insulin time to 5am and 5pm or 6am and 6pm maybe.... so I won't be so groggy during his pm cycle. But I'm definitely not an early morning person! So I'd probably sleep through my alarm. Ha! What time do you shoot?
