Last post a week ago or so...

So first green am pre-shot since April 30!!!!!
Woooho!

She's bouncing like never before, and I've been thinking about increasing, then she threw me a 59 so that's a no go..
Even when she's been high she's been in great mood, a bit sleepy but not as much as I would have expected.

My pulse is still too high, and my dad found out he has a rare congenital heart defect, his coronary artery is in the wrong place. Apparently it's hereditary so I'm waiting to be checked out by a cardiologist. But my doctor pulled the stop button to my medication at night, the one that makes me able to wake up and check Mauer's BG. So I'm trying my very best to get up without my meds, but I'm afraid that someday I might sleep through whatever drama Mauer is doing..
It sucks big time, and I've been doing a lot of thinking about what to do...

Doing laundry again, thankfully not because anyone puked or urinated in my bed

Sasha, I'm really sorry to hear about your father's heart and its potential implications for you and taking care of Mauer. Multiple alarm clocks might be the solution for late night testing. I have an Apple watch that I wear at night that tracks my sleeping patterns and it will vibrate on my wrist when alarms go off so I don't wake up DBF. Perhaps something similar would work for you. Nice to see you posting again and I hope Mauer stays good and gives you more greens.

Oh, gosh, Sasha - I'm sorry about all that. I hope you're able to get that appointment with the cardiologist soon. Sending prayers that it's nothing serious.

If you're just using the alarm on your phone, maybe try getting an actual plug-in alarm? I find that the alarm on my phone is too 'soft' and the plug in ones are nice and screechy enough to jolt me awake lol. Bonus, placing it on the otherside of the room, so you actually have to get up and walk over to turn it off.

FD is so hard on CG, We all should give a big great hug! We do a great job! I am also very stressed by my need to return to work (despite, as you mentioned, Hercs insisting in keeping me on my toes...)
I think the only answer is to take one day at a time, and do the best that day!

I need a boyfriend, or another Mauer parent thankfully my neighbors haven't said anything, so I hope they don't hear my every night drama

I've killed a phone once... it committed suicide by vibrating into the dogs water bowl.. it was too far away so I didn't hear it and I was in the same room. I don't know what the solution is, but thanks for your suggestions

Well, something is going on. Also still with the platelets. My doctor called me today. Not the other way around... blood test tomorrow and I don't even know if it's for the platelets or heart and or pulse. I feel defective

Ruby's doing well today. Eating, napping, trying to break into the closet and fur up my clean clothes. Usual cat shenanigans. The steroids are working well tho her BGs are a little out of whack but I'm managing the best that I can with the insulin.

Yes, it could just be for a few months. The dose will be tapered down and given less frequently until the symptoms from the SCL resolve themselves and she (hopefully) goes into remission from the cancer.
