6/21, Susie, 51 @4.2, 44 @4.7, 60 @+5, 58 @5.7, 51 @6.5

Susie has dropped 221 points in 3 hours. I just fed her 1 tsp of l/c but I think I need to supplement with 1 tsp of medium carbs. Need advice.

Went ahead and gave 1 tsp m/c and will test again in 30 minutes.

I know I'm late, looks like a bounce break to me. I'd hold off on the MC for now, but go with your gut.
Melissa, I tested again at +3.7 and she was down to 57 so I fed her another tsp m/c. I don't want her to drop below 50 'cause she'll need a reduction but I'm not sure she shouldn't have a reduction. This is an enormous drop from PMPS. I'll continue to post. Thanks for getting back with me. Will test again in 20 minutes.

I wonder why she is so high this morning? She received only 3 oz of l/c food last night between PMPS, +2 and +4.
Hi Summer, did you try re-taking her BG at AMPS? Sometimes a bad strip, has happened with Dolly. I usually re-check if the numbers don't make sense. She's doing great now, though a little low. Surf safely sweet Susie. :cat::cool: You two have a great day. :)
Just saw the 170 after. Who knows, Dolly gets high numbers, especially AMPS and +1 OR 2.

Yes, I tested her AMPS twice. The first time it was 299 and the 2nd it was 309.

Just looked at your SS, you are doing all the right things.

Good move! I think you did the right thing by waiting a little bit to see, then getting on top of it.

She's on a mission! I do wonder if the reduction will hold because I think it's a bounce break, but that's the nice thing about TR, can take her right back up if it doesn't work out
She may have a failed reduction but with how fast and how far she dropped today I don't want to have to worry about her quite like this again.

Oh, gosh, that was a little nerve wracking. Glad shes coming back up. Didnt want to comment while you were in the thick of it, so I didnt clog up your notifs.

But yay, reduction?

Thank you, Wendy. I didn't want to have to take a reduction because she was not doing as well recently as she did a few days ago. But, I tell you this, I was truly concerned for her and it got to be all about her safety and not a possible reduction.

Back down to 51 at +6.5. Fed 1 1/2 tsp m/c. Hope this ends soon. I think the two dose increase, in one week, was too much for Susie since it usually takes her a few days to reflect an increase. Of course, I could be wrong but next time I increase I will hold out a good four days to see how it affects her.

Hi Summer, Susie is certainly looking for a reduction but I understand how you feel. If this keeps up I hope you don’t put the reduction off. I don’t completely understand how their body works but the last increase (2.75) got Susie’s pancreas going in the right direction. Don’t base the increase at 2.5 as getting those same results now. Her pancreas is in a different place, starting to heal. Good luck, good job. I know how hard you’ve been working. Surf safely Susie. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you. I just think she may have shown better numbers on the 2.5 dose if I had waited one more day before increasing again. Susie is really, really slow in showing improvement and that is why I stayed on SLGS so long. Anyway, I'm reducing back to 2.5 tonight. If it fails, so be it, but I will give it four days before making additional changes unless she goes low again.

Tell her no double dipping allowed!

I wonder, since you'll also have the depot to contend with, if it may be better to do a skinny 2.5 for tonight. I know those are generally reserved for lower doses, but I also know you need sleep. Hopefully somebody can weigh in by PMPS.

Darn Susie!!!
She stole Mauer's thunder, but it's fine, we like sharing! :D just kidding!
Summer, her spreadsheet looks amazing!!

Another thing. I woke up yesterday, in the middle of the night on the couch.... returning from my trip to the loo and saw.... someone had an accident on my freaking pillow WHILE MY HEAD WAS THERE!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:

That wasn't Theo was it? Was it Coco? Goodness, the pets in your house like to surprise you don't they . You sound like you are always doing laundry (or taking a shower) but, you know what, our beloved pets are worth it!!! By the way, Mauer can have the thunder. I don't want these low greens. Give me anything in the 60's to 120's and I will be happy.

Yeah, I know about Susie's occasional "double dipping" . Can't handle that tonight. It has been a long day. Don't want anymore days like this one. I think I will take your advice and do a skinny 2.5 tonight. I know about the depot and that concerns me too. She was coughing right after I got the 73 at +7.2. I just don't want to take any chances. I'd prefer to get and keep her in safe numbers and not stick "her neck" out in order to try to get to remission.

I just hope you can find a good in-between. She seems to like to go very low, or stay yellow.

I know and I don't understand it. I look at so many people on this site that are in constant blues. Consistent numbers. Every day. How do they get there? They are keeping their kitties safe without taking chances. Susie is so darn unpredictable. Either too high or too low. I wish I could figure it all out.

Look at Djoko's SS in 2020 - it will give you hopes. I was in the same boat. He is not perfect (not in green all the time) but way better now.

Right now I am just debating what to shoot at PMPS. She is at 137 which is high enough to shoot her reduced dose of 2.5 but I am worried about the depot. Marje, I have had a hell of a day. What do you think I should shoot tonight so that I am not up all night constantly testing as I was today? I will look at Djoko's spreadsheet but right now I want to make sure if I shoot 2.5, or a 2.5 skinny, that I will not be up all night worrying about her. Thank you for stopping by.

2020 didn't look to good but I like his numbers this year. All blue and upper green. That is what I want. Thanks for sharing. Your pattern is what I want. Just a few "lime greens" dispersed throughout.

Oh, Summer, what a day! Susie just loves to keep you guessing. Zenny needed a solid 4-5 days to give up his depot. Wasn't a big deal at first, but started to become one once we started to find his dosing sweet spot. You're on the verge!

It was definitely Theo! You're totally right, I'm doing a lot of laundry because of my fur babies! But they're really worth it :D:bighug:

We need some thunder. Definitely.
From 59 to 359 in 12 hours, she's usually so flat. It's like she's joining a competition of who can bounce the highest :banghead:
