He was only 5. He didn’t urinate at night or in the morning. I rushed home from work in the afternoon to find him in distress. Rushed to the vet. Had to see one I didn’t know. I was sent to the ER for the weekend. When I got there they rushed him to tge back and asked if anything was mentioned about a pierced bladder. The vet hadn’t and didn’t call to let them know I was coming. Surgery by my vet the next day. It was touch and go for a week. He was a fighter. Lived to 19.Aw, I didn't know that, Elise. Oh I do know, Patty. Many times I've badly needed help myself and found it here (not just for the diabetes). I'm paying forward.
It's a pleasure to follow along with yourself and your little boy Blue.

A number of members here have recommended the probiotic saccharomyces boulardii to help with diarrhoea. A starting point for info is here:Plus two got diarrhea so have had to figure that out.

My first boy got blocked after we had just moved house. At 11:30 at night I drove him the 60 miles to our excellent vet. He underwent emergency catheterisation and thankfully that did the trick. It was one of the longest car journeys of my entire life.

Yes, I will....you're right it's a lot.Wherever you feel most comfortable, Patty.
Perhaps tomorrow you could start a new thread in this Health Forum. We are up to 159 posts in this one. It's a lot to scroll through.

You should see the length of some of my older threads, Patty.Yes, I will....you're right it's a lot.
Now this ^ is the reason why we do what we do here. Makes all of theI just have to say, Blue is so much better today [...] Whoohoo he's on the mend.
worthwhile. So pleased for you both, Patty!
The vet pierced his bladder trying to unblock him. Then took an X-ray and said she could barely see the bladder. I found out when I transported him to the ER. It was a Friday night and at the time the office wasn’t open on weekends. Two mikes away but with traffic it took me 50 minutes to get him to the ER which s a few blocks away. That vet is not allowed to come anywhere near my animals. That sounds frightening. How did the vet pierce his bladder? He must have been a fighter to live to 19. I had one that had blockage and it's scary. ER saved him but at least no surgery, thank goodness.

Looks like you will be able to shoot on time. Do you want to try and get the time any earlier? You can shoot 15 minutes early each cycle of 30 minutes every 24 hours.
Yes. It’s safe. He’s going up. If he were still headed down you would need to stall. It doesn't matter. I'd rather not go past 10 again. Is it safe at 197?
