? Wet microchip feeders

You can find steel bowls that fit inside the Sure Feed —in fact I think they offer them as accessories (or used to) but cheaper to just buy them (I think I got from petco). But I don’t know if Sure Feed makes one with cold packs. Someone recently posted a picture of theirs, maybe it was @Tim & Pookey or @Jason - Kona's Dad. I will try to remember. It was also pricey I think but had cold packs and other nice features

Colleen, yes that was us! We have the Petlibro. It’s refrigerated and has a nice phone app, but does NOT have micro-chip capabilities. So could be a struggle for multiple cat households…
Thanks! Well with three sisters, two of whom need special and opposing diets, and who are very good at sneaking each others food (the food is always more yummy on the other side of the bowl) I don’t think it will work. I’m considering it for my boy though. Might let me sleep a full nights sleep.

We have 7 cats in the cluster and have been using Surefeed units for a few years now.

Cons: battery operated ONLY. No AC adapter. Dishes and other accessories are way overpriced -- such as the plastic shield that keeps other cats from poking their heads in the dish from the sides or back of the unit. The little rubber edges on the dishes will eventually degrade, peel, and fall off. We bought the stainless steel dishes and I think my wife paid about $20 EACH for them. Crazy. @Lisa and Witn (GA) I'm going to point out those Petco ones to my wife see what she thinks. Much better price!

...and I don't know about Lisa's cats but our cats make an ungodly mess of the Surefeeds. And cleaning them is a bit of a pain in the tukus, lots of little tiny crevices and nooks and crannies -- and for sure they aren't dishwasher safe!

Pros: They generally work well and the batteries last a long time. There's an "intruder alert" feature where if the unit will close if another cat sticks their head in there, as long as that other cat has their own chip on their collar. They allow you to feed different cats different foods and for the most part, each cat's food will be not available to the others.

My cats make a mess too. Mine also try stealing from each others bowl. To stop that I have purchased the back covers for each of the feeders. They are expensive but I have cats that are on different diets for medical reasons. It has helped keep the other cats out of their food.

I have 7 cats and they each have their own feeder.

A problem I had with sure feed which may not apply to Sheila’s petite girls was it was very low to the ground for my Siberian/Maine Coon sized boy. I found a seller on Etsy who 3D printed adjustable legs that raised the entire unit up. Of course the cat that wasn’t supposed to eat from it was a lot more interested in learning how to eat from it than the cat for whom it was purchased.

yeah we have one of ours up on a little cardboard box riser so it's more comfortable for the one kitty

The cat who was more interested in the food would push it off (he also pushed everything breakable in my home off of something)…it’s heavy so I don’t know how long it took him or how many tries but he had all day :)
Actually I don’t know which cat pushed it off, but only one cat pushed everything else in my house off a shelf. I would tell friends “one of the cats is pushing the feeder off the stand” and my one friend said “why do you even say ‘one’ you know methos isn’t doing it”. Because everyone had seen Muz push something off At one time or another— he would literally look at me with one paw on something smile, and then shove it

Muz is the reason we can’t have nice things or a Christmas tree

Sounds like my cat Callie (GA) was. She would look directly at me and then take her paw and push whatever was in her reach to the floor. She was a brat at times, but I love and miss her.

Awww... I love the smile part. Better to have him than nice things <3

So sorry about Callie. This is how Muz is; his first night in our home he hopped up on my dresser, put his paw on the only breakable thing in the room and smiled. I said “no” and he shoved it off.
