Welcome Back to the FDMB at FelineDiabetes.com!

We’re so glad to be back on our original home, FelineDiabetes.com. Many of you know that back in April 2025, the .com forum became inoperable and the administrator was too ill to manage the site. To make sure the community had a stable place to gather, we set up and have been communicating on the felinediabetes.org forum as a temporary solution.

Since then, we’ve been able to reconnect with the original administrator and arrange the transfer of the .com domain and forum files. This gave us the chance to modernize, repair, and upgrade the forum. The .com site is now stable, fully updated, and ready to support us for years to come.

What's new on the upgraded forum?

We've upgraded the forum software from XenForo 1.4.3 (very old!) to XenForo 2.3.6, the latest stable version. That brings a number of improvements you'll notice right away:

• Fresh look - Cleaner and updated style, while still feeling familiar.
• Mobile-friendly design - Responsive layouts make reading and posting much easier.
• Better editor - Image uploads fixed.
• Faster search - Finding posts, threads, and information is quicker and more accurate.
• Improved notifications - Alerts for replies, likes, and private messages are cleaner, easier to manage.
• Security and stability - Behind the scenes, everything is more secure, modern, and built to last.

Thank you to everyone who stuck with us during this time. We’re excited to continue growing this community, sharing knowledge, and helping more cats live healthier lives.

I haven't been on the site for a couple years, although I refer to it when needed, as it's an invaluable resource, or to send people with newly-diagnosed cats to. This site has been a lifesaver for my previous, and now current cat with diabetes.

But just wanted to comment on how beautiful the new look and feel is. I don't know you, Tim, but your skill is outstanding, and I say this an an information design professional. I especially love the articles you created that are so welcoming and informative for new members.

@Lucy&Grayson Since you are new, go to this forum: Feline Health and Welcome Forum. Click on the blue link to take you there. On the top right of that page is a yellow/orange button labelled Post Thread. Hit that button, and you are ready to start your own post. Look forward to hearing from you there.
