My beloved Vyktor is on his way out.

This morning he was pretty unresponsive when I gave him his shot, like he was in a very deep sleep. I have checked glucose, ketones, heart rate, gums etc and spoken to his vet. He thinks Vyktor has had a stroke or some other neurological seizure. We agreed that there was no point in bringing him in.

Vyktor remains unresponsive but he is very peaceful and isn't suffering. We are snuggled in bed together and will remain that way until he passes. I am devastated but feel very blessed that he will be able to cross like this, hopefully he will just slip away.

Prayers that the crossing is peaceful. Grab onto all the special moments to help ease your pain as you say goodbye.

Since it is ending, this seems the quietest most loving way to do so. I know your heart is breaking, but Vyktor certainly knows you're with him, and takes your love freely.

I am devastated along with you- but want you to know I've been praying for you three(Purrdy too!) I hope and will continue to pray that you have time to love on him all that you can, to say all that you need to say to your beautiful boy and that the crossing is peaceful. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Such sad news, but I agree....if it's Vyktor's time, passing peacefully, quietly and at home with the people who love him is the best possible way. He sure lived a long and wonderful life with you

Vyktor....We've had some good times buddy, and we'll all miss you, but if it's time for you to go, spread your wings and fly....We'll all see you at the Bridge when it's our time to go and we'll share a glass of the infamous speshial gum leaf liquor to toast the good times we had here....Love ya my friend, China

Dear Serryn, I am so sorry that it is Vyktor's time to fly free. What a great kitty he is and how much he will be missed. We will send special love and prayers for his peaceful crossing. And we will keep you in our hearts as you bid your old man a loving farewell.

I wish I were there to give you some comfort and strength, but I know you can feel the love from your L&L Land family winging its way across the world to you and Vyktor. I wish him a peaceful crossing, snuggled in the arms of the one he loves best.

Rest well, Vyktor, for Meggie awaits you at the bridge, and you know you'll need all your strength to deal with her!

I am so, so sorry to hear about Vyktor. I know your heart must hurt terribly. How wonderful, though, that he can cross so peacefully, surrounded by loving arms, feeling the comforting beat of your heart. He is so loved! He will live in your heart until the day you are joined again.

I pray for a peaceful passing and lots of time for you and Vyktor to use each other's strength. It's now been over 13 hrs since I found Vyktor unresponsive and he's still hanging in there. I have been lying there with him all day expecting him to pop off any minute. His front feet have been paddling away for hours (like when they knead you). Then half an hour ago he shook his head. I know it doesn't sound like much but it was the first confirmed voluntary movement that he has made. Also his eyes are looking clearer (maybe an eyelid has come back) and he blinked - again not much but given how he's been all day pretty huge. So then I started googling strokes - not that we can know for sure that's what happened and found one story where the kitty was almost dead, like Vyktor, but they managed to nurse it back. You know what that means - the fight is on! As long as he isn't giving up neither will I.

I just tried syringe feeding him and no go, he didn't swallow so it just dribbled out again. But he did swallow 1 ml water that I syringed him a little earlier so I know he can do it and I'm going to keep trying. I've given him .5F of insulin so he has something in his system.

Search YouTube for healing music for cats or cat purrs. I used to play that kind of thing for hours overnights for my cat when she was a sick kitten on deaths door. Maybe it will be relaxing and conforting and at the same time stimulate his brain.
