    Hello

I posted last week about my cat Stan being hospitalised for DKA last week.

He has been OK in himself , BG still high around it is usually 17/18. This morning he was 25.1, this dropped to 18.2 at 11am and 17 this evening. He is on 3.5 Prozinc twice a day. (Please note my spread sheet is not up to date)

He has been sick twice this evening should I be worried?

He is being treated for an infection.

    Thanks

    Simone

It’s really important you keep the SS up to date if you want dosing advice. Especially with the recent DKA.
Even the last 2 weeks data will be helpful.
When did you last increase the dose?
Are you testing daily for ketones? This is especially important if he is in high numbers with recent DKA and is now vomiting.
Eating plenty of food after DKA is crucial in preventing ketones reappearing so you do need to address the vomiting if it doesn’t stop very quickly.
What infection is he being treated for?
Would you be able to link your last post to this one please so we can look back at the history? Thanks. :)
