Hi
Tigster vomited a bit of his breakfast at around AMPS +3 and then the rest of it at +4. I gave him a small amount a bit later which he kept down for around an hour or so. The smell of food is making him nauseous (well he’s licking his lips but not in a yum yum way). The only thing that could have caused this (other than a medical issue) is maybe him being stressed from me applying his Libre but it’s not caused this reaction before.
I called the emergency vet who’ve said to wait but they will take him if it carries on. I’m going to call my regular vet tomorrow to get him in after work. I’ve syringed a little water into his mouth and he did have a tiny bit of Licky Lix but they’re high carb so don’t want to give too much although that’s the least of my worries at the moment.
My question is, he’s due for his 3.5u of Lantus in three and a half hours. What’s best for him to have if he still hasn’t eaten?
Thank you.
