can you update Francis' spreadsheet when you have a chance?
We want OTJ kitties to run under about 120 most of the time, but some do wobble around in higher numbers for a while. 180 is a bit high, but in general we look for trends.
Please give your mother the following instructions: If Francis is over 120, she should feed a small meal and test again in about 3 hours to see if Francis is able to bring down his number with food (meaning that his pancreas is working). DON'T give insulin without posting for advice first.
If he consistently is not able to bring himself down, then we might need to look for a Plan B for him, but if he's bringing himself down then most likely we can just wait. I think he probably *is* bringing himself down, because on the days she did do another test he was quite a bit lower.
It looks like Francis would benefit from more frequent, smaller meals while is pancreas is finishing healing. Having a snack about 3 hours before that AMBG and PMBG reading would probably make the readings lower.
