my kitty’s glucose level was at 431 this morning. I just tested before giving him second dose and he is down to 181. Should I give him his usual 4 units or less or should I skip it. I’m not very experienced and don’t want to make a mistake. He hasn’t been regulated yet. He’s in Lantus. Thank you
Retested at an hour and after feeding and his level had come up to 321. Wasn’t sure if to give full dose or not. He tends to always be high in the mornings so I went ahead and gave him 3.5 units. Will watch him closely and pray

. The Lantus forum is the best place to be for getting specific help about that insulin. It is important to be able to see how low the dose is getting your kitty, and without knowing mid cycle tests, it is hard to offer advice. A preshot of 187 on AT2 is getting down there, has your kitty ever had ketones or diabetic ketoacidosis?
