hi all
just a little update here. the boyz are doing great. slowly loosing weight. well Mr. Beasley is. twinkie really did not have much to loose. Beasley gets weighed tomorrow but as of last week has lost a total 0f #4 12 oz.. he is a little houdini though. I watch my sis's dogs and of course have dog food here. he has watched me open the containers and now knows how to do it. these are lock and lock too. so twice he has helped himself and we had #'s in the 500's. had to increase insuliboth times and taper back down. had to turn containers around and put something heavy on them. twinkie just looks at him and say boy are yo in trouble now
twinkie is now back down to 0.1u finally. took this long since depo out of system.
skin looks good and so does URI. he has to be kept on lysine and fish oil. I stopped both for a little over a week cause all was well and he started with the itchy stuff and runny eyes. I also put a him back on chlor for a few weeks just to be safe. they both look good and appear to be happy little campers. beasley still thinks he is a dog the way he follows you around

I did a trial of lantus since I had a free cart thinking it might work a little differently with him. KWIM? nope. believe i also tried a week with no insulin with poor results. soooooo.
he is back on lev 0.05u TID and is holding him well now for over a week. I have shot low's of 27 and he does fine. makes you wonder how a cat getting such a small amount of insulin cannot get off it. what a weird boy I have.
well, guess that is about it. same ol same ol but thought it was about time to check in
paws crossed that all continues on the downward trend
PS. the BOYZ really would make someone wonderful pets. the are such dolls. hint, hint
