I haven't been on in some years, but I wanted to thank all of you for giving me an extra 5 years with Leda. When he was first diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 17 I thought he was dying and it was both so scary and so relieving to know that it was something we could treat and that he was going to get better. But I needed your help, and you were so generous with it. Leda lived to be 22 1/2, and those last years were rich and cozy, thanks to your advice and support.

I’m sorry for your loss. How wonderful that with your good care that he lived such a long life. I was hoping Max would make it over 20 but was lucky fir him to be over 19. Be kind to yourself as it’s going to be tough adjusting. He will always be with you in spirit.
