Morning Cindy.
Only two cycles on the dose, so the depot hasn't had a chance to build. I used to find that with George by cycle 3-4 I'd begin to see what the dose can do.
That +11 although still pink seems a little lower, if amps is showing a further downward trend, ie you see him go yellow, that would be the heads up for your daughter to expect an active cycle, so that +2 becomes real important, especially if that shows the numbers are continuing to trend down.
Team Taco, takes such good care of their boy I know he's in good hands.
Answering from yesterday, 6 cycles unless he were to see green. I would not hold on to a dose longer than 6 cycles if you weren't getting nadirs in the normal range. With some SS there can be gaps in data and sometimes we have to be cautious if we suspect we have missed a low, or if CG is not going to be available, but you test enough so that you can be confident you are not missing anything significant. It should give you confidence to take the dose up in a regular and consistent manner.
I would have not held on to those 2u for the extra couple of cycles, I know you had your reasons, but, for future reference holding on to a dose that is not getting kitty into the desired range can lead to glucose toxicity and ultimately result in the need for a higher dose, on TR reassess the dose every 6 cycles, ask yourself, Is this dose getting Taco into normal numbers? Is there room to take the dose up?
Don't worry about what happened before, it's not going to affect the ultimate outcome, at worst he has to go a little higher before hitting a break through dose. By the way George got to 3u before we started to break through and come down the dosing ladder, 2.25 is not an unusual dose to see. I made all sorts of mistakes with his starting dose.
Have a good day Cindy, don't be hard on yourself.
