I see that some people give tiny amounts, .o1 .25, etc.
My pharmacy did not have syringes with even half unit markings. I am using BD Ultra-Fine 3/10cc.
I have to give Checkers, 1.5u sometimes, so have to do it by eye.
I'd appreciate advice on syringe brand, where to buy, etc
Thank you

hi Barb

BD does carry 1/2 unit marking syringes.

I'm not sure in your area where to buy, but I would shop around.
You can also get them online too.

Some of our members here have links about the syringes, and I'm hoping they will see this thread and give you the links and info on where to get them.

I got relion brand at Walmart - I made sure the vet put 1/2 unit markings on the script and double checked with pharmacy.

If you have one nearby, you can call and ask if they have them in stock and if not, when they will get them in.

This is what I order through Hocks.com (the link at the top of the board)

See this post on the old board for half unit marked insulin syringe brands and where to buy: http://www.felinediabetes.com/phorum5/r ... 22,1959486 The page might take a few minutes to load so be patient

If you're in the US, you can buy half unit marked insulin syringes online from Hocks.com and other places. The product description will say half unit markings or 1/2 unit markings..

BD does make half unit marked insulin syringes. Here is the BD web site product info: http://www.bd.com/us/diabetes/page.aspx ... 02&id=7407 Here is the product listing on Hocks.com: http://hocks.com/hocks-healthcare/hocks ... 10291.html
