Does anyone have the link that is referenced in the sticky's about syringe accuracy? The link in the sticky's doesn't work.

I am trying to figure out if I am using the right syringes...they are U100 1/2cc, 1/2 inch, 29 gauge.

the links all work for me.

from STICKY: LANTUS & LEVEMIR - NEW TO THE GROUP? PLEASE READ...
"U100 3/10cc syringes with half unit markings are the best to use for fine dosing. BD, Monoject, GNP, and ReliOn are some of the brands available with half unit markings. Needle gauge and length is your preference They come in ½ inch or 5/16 inch needle lengths. Needle gauges 29, 30 or 31 (31 being the thinnest)."

does that help?

I think the problem may be that one link Syringe accuracy assessment sends you to the "old" board and you may need to sign in there to read it. It worked for me since I stay signed in there already. The other link goes to a Google doc and should work. Syringe Accuracy Assessment Summary and Data

The syringes I used were: BD brand, short needle, 1/2 unit markings

BD brand, U 100
3/10 ml capacity
8 mm length (5/16")
31 gauge

Ahh, that makes sense since I am not registered on the old board. Thanks for the info!!

not sure what the problem is (logging onto the old board is not necessary), but glad you were able to get to the linked page from ann's post.
do you have the info you need?

Well maybe I'm not so smart. I signed out on the old board and yet I could still get to the location from that link. Hmmm. Not sure why it doesn't work for you. Sorry about that.

I guess I gave you the link for measuring not the ones for syringe comparison, sorry. CD has those. I got to all those links form the sticky though and was never on the old board.

Here is the URL that I get when I click on the 'Syringe Accuracy Assessment Discussion':

Anyway, the syringe suggestion is great for my next purchase, but I am currently using U100, 1/2cc, 29 gauge (no half markings). When I look at the pictures on the board my syringes doesn't have that raised plastic circle between the needle and the plunger, it is flush (which made me nervous that I am using the wrong one).

Very weird that you get the 'can't find server' message.

Ok, one last attempt.... try copying this URL below and pasting it in your address bar and hit enter. This isn't linking... it is putting in the address to see if that will work directly. Now I'm all out of ideas. ohmygod_smile
