I did this switch between those two meters. The Relion needs more blood sample (0.5 vs. 0.3) so you will need to make sure you have a bigger drop of blood for the Relion. Also, the "timeout" time from when you put the strip into the meter before it times out and turns off seems to be shorter in the Relion. Both of those differences have taken getting used to. The numbers difference, for me, are quite large (we are talking pet meter to human meter so that is to be expected). A comparison I did a few days ago (just because) was 255 on Pettest and 165 on the Relion. Since most people here use and reference the values and ranges in human meters and the Pettest strips are more expensive I am going with the Relion. With that said, the Relion seems more picky, I get errors more often and with the timeout being so quick and the increased blood sample I am doing so grudgingly.
