I thought those of you who remember me and Sunshine would like to know that Sunny is now OTJ! Woohoo!
I'm not the one who did this magical deed, though - that was the marvelous Jenna, who agreed to keep Sunny as her foster kitty. Which was a huge relief to me, since it meant that Sunny could continue to get the level of care she need and deserves...and look where it got her! I'm so excited for the pretty girl!
For those of who you have no idea who Sunshine is (or who I am, for that matter!): She was a diabetic foster kitty whom I took on with her diabetic "brother" Jibbit (GA) in January of 2013. Diabetic Cats in Need kindly took them on in December of 2013. She had a very scary encounter with DKA last October, but she pulled through. Jenna, another DCIN foster mom, kept her following the DKA to be sure she got proper monitoring and care, which was hard for me with my schedule (full-time job and PhD student). I was thrilled when she offered to keep Sunny, because I was afraid to have her come back to me. I love that precious girl, and I want her to have the best home possible, which is not with me. I cried to give her up, but it was the best thing to do for her.
And now she's OTJ! Hooray! Let's hear it for Little Miss Sunshine and Mama Jenna!!!

(She's also still available for adoption from DCIN! http://fdmb-cin.blogspot.com/2013/12/sunshine-in-va.html)
