Usually when we start seeing blue nadirs we hold the dose a little longer- a few extra cycles. I think it will be okay because you have some wiggle room for him to go lower when he clears this bounce. We don’t want to send him right back into another bounce (but it may happen anyway.)

Thank you! I’ll be testing at +2, +4, +6, etc. I am very curious to see what he does today. I knew I was too eager in increasing because of the bounce.

I hope so, too! He was at 481 at PMPS and 440 at +2. He is running around like crazy chasing his laser. he’s acting the most like himself since before his hospitalization, tonight, I think. I am so happy about his ketone #’s. We haven’t been over 1 in 6 days!!

This is great to hear. It’s a good indication that he’s starting to get enough insulin (despite the bounce).

Hey hey @Suzanne & Darcy - hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I have been quiet on here hoping we could get a control on Stoney. Well, we’ve been at 5u for almost 2 days, and seeing no improvement. All pinks today. Time to talk about Acro/IAA?

Oh man. He just doesn’t want to move much in his BG. I would probably probably go ahead and talk to my vet about sending some blood to Michigan State University for IAA and acro testing. For the acromegaly, it’s the IGF-1 test. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving, too. We did!

Our Thanksgiving was great! My parents live almost 2 hours away and joined our dinner with my inlaws.
