Ok well my diabetic cat is ALWAYS hungry... She can probably eat a whole case of wet food if she could... She was on Fancy Feast classics (chicken) and she always seemed to be starving until her next feeding.. I usually feed her at 8 am and at 8 pm when she gets her insulin. but it makes me feel soooo bad they she is so hungry in the middle of the day. I was feeding FF one can in AM and 1 can in PM since its a small can...
I decided to switch to wellness grain free chicken can food ( i figured maybe a better quality food will keep her full) but she still seems to be soooooooo hungry... Shes about 11 pounds and the doctor says she can not gain any more weight...
I was also recently adopted by a stray kitten (about 7 month old) and she is a thin girl.. Prob under 7 pounds. and i notice that she is also veryyyy hungry by mid day...
so now im thinking its just not my diabetic cat ... The can says i can per 6-8 pounds... so i feed about half a can each morning and night (since its a bigger can)... so each cat is getting a can.. but i feel like this is so little...
am i feeding right? or should i be feeding more?
I would think a whole can AM and a whole can PM would do them both good but then its possible my little fatty (diabetic cat) will gain more weight shes not suppose to..
