I have spent way too much time trying to get profile up. Done with it. By the way it is now called Google Drive and it doesn't have an HMTL button.
Yes, it looks like the new verion of Google Docs has taken away the Eidt HTML option:
http://support.google.com/docs/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=176442
But it looks like you can create a Google Site (an acutal mini web site, not a document like the SS) and put the Coolification code there.
This member did and she added pictures of her cats as well.
Basic instructions:
Go to
http://fdmbcoolification.blogspot.com/ to fill out the info and generate your Coolification HTML code. Copy that code.
Go to
https://sites.google.com and sign in.
Click on the orange
Create button.
Select the
Blank template option.
Give your site a name ("Kitty's FDMB Profile" or something).
The next line has a box for you to give your site a unique name. There is a box after the https: //sites.google.com/site/ for you to enter text. Something like https:// sites.google.com/site/Kittysprofile If another site has the same name, you will be given an error message. You can click on the back button of the web browser to go back to change the name for your site.
You have an option to select a theme. Leave this blank.
Enter the security code into the box.
Click on the orange
Create button at the topof the page.
On the next page, click on the
pencil icon at the top right to edit the page.
Click on
Insert at the top of the page toolbar.
Select
HTML box.
Paste your Coolification code into the box that appears.
Click on
Save.
You will returned to the editing page and will see a gray-ish box that says HTML box instead of your Coolification code or actual profile. That's ok!
Click on the blue
Save button at the top right side of the page.
You will now see your profile.
Copy the URL in the web browser address bar.
Come here to FDMB and go to
User Control Panel. The link for that is usually at the very top of the board.
felinediabetes.com/FDMB/ucp.php
Click on
Profile.
Click on
Edit Signature.
Pate your URL into the box.
To ensure that the URL will show up correctly in your signature and be clickable, highlight the entire URL. Click on the
URL button that is in the box toolbar. You will now see
and with your URL in the middle. Example:
Code:
[url]https:// sites.google.com/site/Kittysprofile[/url]
Click on
Submit to save it.
To have your signature automatically show up when you post, click on
Board Preferences. Click on
Edit Posting Defaults. Select Yes for
Attach my signature by default.
Click on
Submit to save the setting.
