Tinkerbell & I want to thank everyone at FDMB from the bottom of our hearts for all the patient, kind and caring support we have gotten here since day one, and not just in dealing with Tinkerbell's diabetes but also with the rash of horrible events that occurred during my life during 2009, the worst of which most "oldies" around here will remember as being the sudden, unexpected and traumatic death of Tinkerbell's bean daddy Thom, at the ripe old age of 49, the man who rescued her and loved her dearly.
It was Tinkerbell, and FDMB, that kept me grounded during the horror and trauma of that time. Had it not been for them, I believe that I would have died too. All I can remember thinking everyday was "Tinkerbell needs her shot. Who will give Tinkerbell her shot if I am not here? I have to take care of Tinkerbell. I have to stay here. I have to give Tinkerbell her shot."
I could not work, sleep, eat or function. I would sit in the dark for hours on end, surfing FDMB posts. Not the Internet, but FDMB. Sometimes I would post and write of my grief, and whenever I did a multitude of return posts, PMs and even snail mail cards & letters full of love and caring support would descend upon me, ground me, keep me semi-sane. FDMB was my lifeline, and I would not have survived without it.

Desi, I just wanted to say how thrilled I was to work on this celebration for Tinkerbell and you... doing this video was an honor and a pleasure!
The honor, however, is ours. From the opening frame of the video where you begin by telling tiny Tinkerbell's story to the dedication to Thom at the end, well, I just don't know what to say. The minute detail that you put into this in between, from the sound effects (the mewling kitten) to the party garb (colorful bandannas, flowers in her hair...I mean fur, red high heels on her feet...I mean paws) to the addition of Disney's own Tinkerbell fairy complete with magic pixie dust to the heart in the OTJ "O" to the introduction of Tink's furry family including the Bon Jovi & Benatar CDs pictured next to cats Bon Jovi and Benatar to cat Ozzie and his broken guitar to Tinkerbell on her Harley in her pink bandanna with her luggage and her hat...I mean helmet...box tied to the back on her way to the Falls (loved that sound effect too!) to, again, the dedication to Thom at the very end...
Yes, the honor is indeed ours and we are truly honored by what you have done. And to be a part of FDMB.
A very special thanks also goes out to Dyana, who kept in touch even when I didn't, who sent me PMs just to check in on us and say hi even though we didn't post anymore, and who encouraged me to let everyone know that Tinkerbell had gone OTJ even though we had been AWOL for so long. Tinkerbell wants to know when J.D. is coming to the Falls to give her a ride in that hot red convertible he came to her party in!
Thank you, all of you, for all the support, for celebrating with us at Tinkerbell's OTJ party and for taking care of the kitties you take care of. May we see each and every one of you at the Falls!
