Well, it's looking like the honeymoon is over.
Tink's ventured into the yellow quite a few times over the last few days and even his "blues" are on the high side.
I'm thinking about starting out with a "drop" dosage - does that sound reasonable?
I currently have Humulin R (bought Oct 2013, bottle exp. date was Dec 2013), Lantus (bought Oct 31, 2013) and ProZinc (bought Oct 27, 2013). Would any of these still be usable? I dont want to cause further issues - but I hate to waste these nearly new bottles. Would it just be somewhat less effective, or do I run other risks??
I'm leaning toward the ProZinc just because it only took a few doses to get him regulated and OTJ last time. I know going OTJ again isn't as likely... but a girl can dream.
Only other thought I've had... do you think there's any chance that Wellness has changed it's formula without notice? Would they be able to tell me carb info if I call them? I've run into a batch of the turkey flavor that has a very odd consistency. One of my cats wont eat it. Both cans were the same lot #, and I have two cases of it... so thinking about trying to exchange it somewhere local (I buy on Amazon). But I'm just curious if the food might be the issue. I'm not seeing huge # increases when he eats, which tells me his body IS producing insulin. So I'm a bit confused.
