? Skipper Ate Dry Food... Again... Increase Dose or Wait It Out?

I thought it was me, but Skipper figured out how to get his brother's food. Skipper ate dry food last night AND this morning, and his numbers definitely reflect the carbs. [BLACK] :arghh:

Am I supposed to give a higher dose of insulin when this happens? Or just give the regular dose and wait it out?
I figured out what Skipper is doing to get the carb food, so hopefully, this won't happen again.

Thanks for your advice,
Kathy & Skipper

The carbs will be out of his system in a day. It's good you did not give a higher dose because of the food. Lantus is a depot insulin and dosing is based on nadirs and not on preshots.

Thank you for your reply, and I'm glad to hear the carbs will be out of his system in a day. I sure need to get him in the greens. :( Let's hope tomorrow is a much better day!
