good morning everyone - Cleo is 12 yrs old and is diabetic as well as asthmatic. She is on Lantus 2 x's a day - 1.5 units - last night I could tell she was not feeling well - only symptom is being lethargic and hiding a bit. I kept an eye on her all night (of course it's the weekend and her vet is closed) - and this morning she is the same - drank a little water but no food, I did get a reading of 215, but did not give her Lantus because she won't eat. I honestly want to wait until tomorrow morning to take her to her regular vet because her last trip to the emergency vet was horrible - she almost died (just a few months ago). She stresses so horribly and her regular vet knows how to handle her and knows her situation (we talk once a week). She also had 2 asthma attacks yesterday and I had to use her albuterol both times. I wanted to know do I definitely not give her any insulin today (unless she feels better or eats)? Am i taking too much of a risk waiting until tomorrow morning? I'm sick to my stomach with worry, she is my baby and I love her dearly
. Thank you everyone.
