We've been doing 1 unit PZ am & pm for a week (today is day 7). Last night I got him to eat a lot, but then after his shot around midnight he threw up all his food. I was worried so I gave him a bit of a can of ProPlan sensitive stomach. He kept most of that down, I slept fitfully and kept checking on him and he threw up (mostly bile) around 5 am.
He was not having any of the ProPlan DM this morning. I finally got him to eat maybe 2/3 can of Tiki Cat chicken (6 oz version).
Do you shoot insulin after they've thrown up overnight? Normally we do shots at 7:30 but the vets office still hasn't called me back.
I was FINALLY able to get a BG reading (FIRST TIME!!) and it is 360. He's already had a bit to eat tho.
Side note - the throwing up might be my fault. He's lost some weight (about 1/2 lb from last week) and I was trying to get him to eat a lot and I gave him several different cans of things when he wouldn't eat a lot of one kind.
