Gaysha has passed away on the 4th of April. She had to be put to sleep. It seems diabetes was only a symptom for something much more serious. She had wide spread lymphoma that probably got to her pancreas as well and hence the diabetes symptoms. She was very weak, hardly could walk and eating very little. She had x-ray and ecography which confirmed the diagnostic. Her kidneys were 5 times the normal size. The lymphoma most probably spread also to her optic nerve, since her right pupil was always much more dilated than the left one. She was a great friend and companion and I will always treasure her in my heart. Thank you all for all the help! Hope all your kitties live longer and healthier! When compared to a lymphoma, diabetes seems much more easy to handle. I wish I could have kept giving Gaysha insuline and testing her blood glucose for 10 more years.
