Good evening my friends in lantus land! I haven't posted in a few months but Sabrina earned her Angels wings yesterday afternoonthis is the most difficult post I've ever had to compose. Back in July her bloodwork was fantastic & she was well regulated, thanks to the members on this board who supported me & guided me thru the sugar dance. Last month she just wasn't right & her vet wanted the t4 tier done....suspected hyperthyroidism, but alas $$'s got in the waySo thus begins my princess's journey....2 consults later the dx was squamous cell carcinoma in her mouth. A tumor had grown & mastasisized on her lower jaw & under her tongue. Yesterday her & I chose to beat the cancer & free her failing body of the pain she has endured.... My heart is breaking But I know she is now enjoying life at the Rainbow Bridge. God bless you all for the support & knowledge you gave given me throughout these last 3 years. God bless you all for all you do for our sugarbabies I won't go far as I'd like to help other parents give their fur babies the best chance of taking charge when managing diabetes ❤️ I just never thought something else would take my precious princess from me Cindy & angel Sabrina

Cindy, I'm new here, so don't know you. But I do know your pain. I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that Sabrina has surely already found a wonderful sunspot to lounge in, and has already made new friends. Do still talk to her. I believe it will help your heart, and I also believe she will hear you :(hugz

I am so sorry to learn that Sabrina has crossed the bridge. You gave her a wonderful, happy life, and then you gave her the greatest, most unselfish gift-freedom from pain and suffering, even though I know it cost you dearly. She will always be with you, watching over you from the bridge.

So sorry it was time for Sabrina to leave you, Cindy!!

As I've said in other posts like this...Cancer just plain sucks! We lose way too many of our dear kitties to it!!

Fly free sweet Sabrina and land softly....there are many at the bridge to keep you company until the one you love most comes to be with you forever.

(((Cindy))) I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. How lucky Sabrina was to have such a loving mom who did so much for her and knew when the right time was to honor your bond of love by setting her free from the pain.

Cindy, I am so sorry to read this. I do remember you and Sabrina. It is never easy when it is time for our furbabies to leave us. Know you gave Sabrina the greatest gift possible. Fly free little one. We will all miss you. :rb_icon:

I'm so sorry. It is indeed the hardest choice but it's so full of love. Shadow is there to greet her.
The love continues... no matter where we are.
