Hi could someone tell me how my cat's numbers are? Is this Remission? I'm using the human meter One Touch Verio Flex. My vet told me not to test so often a few weeks back. Let me know what you think? Thanks!

He does look like his is in remission to me :cat: His numbers look similar to my girls when she went into remission on Vetsulin. If you wanted to be sure, you could get some more midday readings every now and then, to see if you see some more green

Hi I'm going to tag

To look at your SS and see if they think Nacho is in remission

@Panic

to me it looks like Nacho isn't in remission but I could be wrong
Also you said you are testing with a human meter in your post but your signature says Alpha Trak?
Can you please correct your signature
Thank you :cat:

We call it remission when the numbers are in normal range (50-120) for 14 days without insulin. You are on day 3 or 4 of that. Make sure you get those preshot numbers every day. Crossing fingers for you.

I think you're pulling the plug too soon. We usually want to keep them on insulin for as long as safely possible which means dropping from 1U to .75 down to .5, down to .25, down to .1 before trying to take them off insulin completely.

We want them to have a strong remission, not necessarily a fast one.

There are too many mid and high blues for me to be comfortable saying he's in remission yet.

Thanks everyone. The vet confirmed yesterday he is in remission and feels great about the numbers.
